Architectural Landscapes

My paintings consider the man-altered landscapes that are part of everyday life. The ever-present impact of altered space.  In my work,  architecture is landscape. How it impacts us and our experience is both fluid and constant. The separation from nature can seem profound. Yet, as humans we have created a new nature in our large cities simply by the high volume of non-organic material in use. In the effort to create an artificial living space a new man-made landscape is the current dialogue of our daily life.

Ceramic Vessels

My work with ceramics has focused on the vessel for more than 40  years. My interest is in the process of creating an organic altered thrown form that has function and beauty.
